DealDash Reviews: Bidding Patterns :)

One of the most talked about events at DealDash is how others tell you how to spend your bid money.  I have no relief for those players except to say, I believe you should bid the way you want and the way you like.

I do choose to be conservative with my bids, but there are a handful of players who will never give up.  You really need to learn who they are and get over it…or fight them tooth and nail.  I’ve seen this happen over and over and the overbidder always wins.  They have endless money and don’t care much for losing.  They will win no matter what it costs.  I see these people as a nemesis, but some may just see them as good competition. I have gotten into battles with some of them hoping they will make a mistake and that worked for me exactly once!  The rest of the time I was outbid and lost a bunch of bids getting there.

If you are looking for someone who doesn’t overbid to bid against, you will need to pay attention to every auction you are involved in.  If you are bidding on prizes under $500 you may not come up with much competition because the power bidders, defined in my book as someone who will overbid at all costs, don’t care much for those “tiny” prizes.  They are out there for the big stuff.  They are mostly parlaying their wins into bids and will do anything to just keep bidding and winning.

Call it obsessive, but it’s just playing, and everyone has a different way of playing and it’s your money, so play the way you want.  Being someone who does not over bid, I have learned to walk away. There was a time that I would blow all my bids just to beat the socks off someone, and soon I had no bids and they won anyway.  I don’t want to be that player, I want to win!

What I’ve learned to do is walk away from an auction if I’m not going to win, and then come back later when I think there is a chance for me to win.  We can’t win them all, but if you win 1 out of 10 you are doing ok.  The people who win 50% of the time or more are also the same players who spend a fortune on bids.  Surely, DealDash will love this, but it’s just not practical. If you must do it, make sure you load up on thousands of bids, you’ll need them.  But if you are bidding on a budget, buy the bids you can afford, and then bid on anything you like, one of the beautiful features of DealDash is that anyone can win any item for just pennies and it happens every hour of every day.  If you are looking to win something for pennies and you are now at dollars, guess what? It’s time to jump out!

You can spend what ever you like at DealDash, the ones who can’t will have to adjust to their style, but keep in mind if you get caught up in a battle and suddenly notice you’ve overbid, back out and BIN immediately.  It is such a relief to get your item and you bids back.  Thanks DealDash!  I love that deal!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
