DealDash Easy DIY Easter Crafts for Kids

This year Easter is on Sunday, April 20th, 2025. Now is the perfect time to begin some Easter preparations.

Spring is in the air, and Easter is right around the corner—what better time to gather the family and get crafty? Whether you’re looking to entertain the kids, decorate your home, or just spend a relaxing afternoon creating something festive, these DIY Easter crafts are fun, simple, and perfect for all ages. Grab your glue guns and paintbrushes, and let’s hop into it!

No-Mess Painted Easter Eggs

We all love decorating eggs, but traditional dyeing can sometimes be a bit… messy, especially with little hands involved. Instead, try this easy, no-mess alternative for beautiful eggs with minimal cleanup:

What you need:

  • Wooden or plastic craft eggs
  • Acrylic paints
  • Paint markers
  • Stickers and/or washi tape

Let everyone paint or decorate their egg however they like. You can do polka dots, stripes, bunnies, or even their favorite characters. No boiling, no dyes, and no cracked shells! Plus, these eggs can be reused year after year as part of your Easter decor. It would also be fun to save a few in a memory box to show them when they are much older.

DIY Easter Bunny Wreath

Welcome spring with a cute, cheerful bunny wreath for your front door. It’s much simpler than it looks, and your whole family will love it.

What you need:

  • A grapevine or foam wreath form
  • Faux flowers or greenery
  • Ribbon
  • White pom-pom or cotton ball
  • Craft wire or hot glue

Wrap the wreath with greenery and flowers, tie on a big pastel bow, and attach a little pom-pom bunny tail at the bottom. You can even add felt bunny ears to the top for extra charm. It’s a perfect adult-and-older-kid project! You can even add a few (fake) decorated eggs to round out the look.

Easter Garland with Paper Bunnies & Carrots

This craft is super fun for younger kids and doubles as adorable holiday decor. This craft is perfect for all ages, even toddlers! For adults and older kids, check out this post on the Juki site for making a cloth egg garland.

What you need:

  • Colorful construction paper or cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • String or twine
  • Markers, googly eyes, and cotton balls for decoration

Cut out bunny shapes, carrots, and even Easter eggs. Let the kids decorate them with faces, designs, and cotton tails. Once done, punch holes at the top and string them together to make a festive garland you can hang across the mantel, a doorway, or even the dining table.
