DealDash Keeps the Christmas Spirit All Year

DealDash

It may be halfway through January, but now is a great time to spread some happiness. Read on for some excellent ideas from DealDash.

Christmas has come and gone, and now you have a lot of new items to add to your already cluttered house. However, let’s try to keep the Christmas spirit going with kindness. Here’s a way to cut down on some of that clutter while enjoying your new gifts. Read on for some helpful ideas from DealDash.

Check your closet

Most people get a few new shirts, pairs of pants, or jackets as part of their Christmas haul. Our family typically tries to find one item to donate for each item that we receive. Look for the things that you haven’t worn this year. One of my favorite ways to track that is to have all of my hangers face the same direction at the start of the year. When I’ve worn something, I turn the hanger in the opposite direction.

Either way, consider donating the things that are still in good condition to a local organization. If you’re not interested in the trip to the thrift store, consider one of those “planet” donation boxes that you’ll find all over town. They make things convenient but still give you the chance to help someone out.

Check the Toy Chest

Much like our clothing, we quickly overload on toys for the kids (and dogs). Take a hard look at what your kids are playing with. See if you can pass those toys forward that aren’t as popular at your house. If your children are old enough, post-Christmas is the perfect time to help them get in on the project. Explain to them that you want to pass along that joy to another child. Remind them how happy they were to get something new on Christmas morning and that they could help give that feeling to another child.

Check the Kitchen

Somehow, we always end up getting wine glasses and coffee mugs as part of our Christmas gifts. I’m sure you can guess what we like to do in our spare time! Because of that, we quickly run out of space. These would be something that is easy to regift. If you’re not a fan of regifting or donating something like glasses and mugs, consider changing the layout of your kitchen. There are great examples on Pinterest of how you can set up a “mug wall”.

If You Didn’t Get What You Wanted, Check DealDash

Finally, as we all know, sometimes we don’t get what we really wanted during the holidays. That’s not a problem with DealDash. There are a few things that are hard to gift to people, such as a computer or video game system – things change so quickly it’s hard to know what the giftee really wants. I suspect this is why there are so many returns on the day after Christmas – the gifter tried their best but didn’t get the correct style or electronic spec. DealDash is here to help! If you wanted an electronic like a computer, game system, tablet, or speaker, simply check the Electronics and Computers category. For all other items, click this link to browse the categories and items.

Last Minute Gift Tips From DealDash

DealDash

There are only a couple of weekends left to shop before Christmas is here. If you still have gifts to buy you will want to read this article from DealDash about last-minute gifts.

Christmas is quickly approaching. While I love to get my Christmas shopping done on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, it rarely happens. When you don’t get all the discounts, what are the best ways to save so that you’re not spending an arm and a leg on last-minute gifts? Read on for some handy tips from DealDash.

‘Tis the Season for Craft Fairs

Everyone is going to be at the big box stores and that means you’ll be fighting through a crowd. Instead of fighting with the masses, maybe consider going to a local craft fair. These offer the option to find truly unique gifts. While sites like Etsy compare to the craft shows, the prices (especially adding in shipping) are usually much higher than at a craft fair.

Keep it in the Neighborhood

Looking to buy local is another great option. Whether you’re looking for jewelry, antiques, or just something unique a small “mom and pop” shop may be exactly what you’re looking for. These small shops frequently have gifts that you can’t find anywhere else and some of them may be able to customize what you’re looking for. I also like these shops for the chance to give back to my community.

Keep Your Money in Mind

I love using rewards to buy Christmas gifts; whether it’s something like a “cash cupon” to the store or cashback on your credit card. I love using store bonuses and credit card bonuses. Either way, you can save a ton on your Christmas gifts. Check into which stores offer cashback on your credit card or debit card and see if there are any great gifts there for your friends and family.

DealDash is Full of Gifts

Finally, if you’re just looking to get something quickly and don’t want to rush out to the store, DealDash is there for you. You can find just about anything you’re looking for, and you can get some great deals out there! To begin, simply click this link, and you will be taken to the New Items category, which is a great place to begin your gift search.

Thanks for Reading

In the end, you should make sure that your shopping doesn’t get in the way of your holiday spirit. It’s important to remember that the holidays aren’t about buying the best gifts but about the people who will receive them. Don’t let shopping get in the way of your Christmas spirit! DealDash Small Christmas Gifts for Acquaintances

DealDash

Having a few small gifts on hand for acquaintances is a good idea. DealDash has some small gift suggestions for you.

During Christmas, there is no shortage of people to buy gifts for. Sometimes, you feel the need to buy gifts for an acquaintance that you don’t know all that well. Ideally, you’d like to learn a little bit about what their hobbies are so that you can customize their gift a bit, but sometimes you don’t have time. Below is a list of ideas that can work for anyone, from DealDash.

Planner or Wall Calendar

Firstly, everyone needs to be organized and, sometimes, using your phone just doesn’t cut it. Consider buying someone a planner or a wall calendar. This is a class gift that just about anyone can use. The calendar offers the ability to customize by buying a specific theme (dogs, sports, etc.) I’m often surprised by how many people still use a “paper method” to keep track of their schedules. I keep my planner in the kitchen so everyone in the family can see it and know what is planned for the week.

DealDash has Desk Supplies and Candles

Next, if this person is someone from your office, you can’t really go wrong with getting nice office supplies like a fancy pen and/or personalized note pads. DealDash has auctions for fancy pens. You can get them as a single, or you can also bid on sets of 5, 10, or even 20. Also, they even come in their own little boxes, ready for wrapping. Click here for fancy pens.
DealDash also has auctions for scented candles. The candle is a classic acquaintance gift. DealDash has different scents available. Just click here to check them out.

Water Bottle, Coffee Cup, Thermos

I’m also a big fan of buying drinking thermoses or cups. A tumbler is great for the coffee drinker. A thermos is great for anyone as it’ll keep your hot drinks hot or cold drinks cold. It also offers the flexibility of being something to use for drinks or soups and the like.

Trinkets and Gadgets

Finally, if you’re really stuck, I like to purchase gadgets or trinkets that aren’t unique to anyone, but allows people to fidget to pass the time. You can find the fidget cube online. Also, there are trinket-sized puzzles that you can pick up. However, I wouldn’t look at the fidget spinner that was a fad a few years ago as that could be perceived as being a bit too juvenile. Unless, of course, you are buying for a juvenile acquaintance, such as the teen child of your friend.

DealDash Great Themed Gift Ideas

DealDash

Now is a great time to start putting your gifts together for Christmas. Here are some ideas from DealDash to get you started.

As Christmas comes, you may struggle with gift ideas. I love using a theme. You can use a theme for one person or an entire family. You can even use wrapping paper to match the theme! Read on for some themed gift suggestions, from DealDash.

Home Spa (Check DealDash)

One of my favorite themes is a spa day- it’s important to remind people that they should be taking care of themselves. I like to include a bathrobe, bath bombs, lotions, body wash, and even a pair of soft slippers. This theme gives people the chance to relax and take time out for themselves. You may want to add candles as well. This is a nice gift for a family member, friend, or even your child’s teacher.

You can find many great spa items on DealDash. Check out the thick and luxurious bath towels, sonic facial cleansers, fancy scales, bathrobes, and more. You can click this link to find those items. If you prefer to browse, check out the Fashion, Health, and Beauty category, located here.

Game Night

Offer a number of board games or card games. It encourages the family to come together and have fun. Great examples include  Monopoly, Scrabble, Uno, a deck of cards, Pictionary, etc. You can also include a game for kids if they have little ones that can’t read yet. One of my kid’s favorite games is Connect Four.

Movie night

Who doesn’t love a great movie? An “at home” movie night could include candy, popcorn, and a few DVD’s. Consider adding in a Christmas family favorite such as Elf or Mickey’s Christmas Carol.

You could also opt for a movie night “on the town” that includes tickets and gift cards to the local theater.

Date Night

For the adults in your life, consider a date night. In the past, I’ve used the movie theme and provided a coupon for babysitting. Try finding a local “paint and sip” class, a pottery painting experience, an escape room, or even just dinner at a local restaurant.

Baking

This idea may take a bit more knowledge than the other ideas. For your family baker, consider adding to their collection- rolling pins, cookie sheets, cooling racks, or ingredients. I’m also a fan of purchasing cookbooks. You don’t want to clutter their kitchen though- make sure they need the items you’re planning to purchase.

Car Cleaning Kit

Do you have a car enthusiast in your family? Consider buying them everything to make their car shine- buckets, sponges, soap, wax. For that special someone who loves their car, there’s nothing better than that freshly-cleaned shine. For those who like a clean car without the effort, you could give a membership to the local car wash.

DealDash Helps: Organize Your Gift Wrapping

DealDash

Black Friday is almost here, and that means lots of wrapping! Wrapping gifts is fun, but it can be tricky to get organized. Don’t worry, DealDash can help.

Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, but the process of getting ready for the holidays can be pretty chaotic. Things go more smoothly when organized. Below is a quick summary of an organized way to keep your gift wrapping simple. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Storage Solutions

Preparation is half the battle. I use old wrapping paper tubes to hold my unused wrapping paper together. Using it as a cuff keeps the current roll from unraveling. I like to keep all of the name tags that I have in a small plastic container. It also helps to keep the bows and ribbon neatly put away in the same area. Typically, I have one large plastic bin that all of these go into. If the wrapping paper won’t fit, it goes on top of the lid. There are custom wrapping paper bins for sale at many big box stores. Try snagging one after the holiday for a great deal.

Beautiful Storage Options on DealDash

However, you don’t have to settle for clear plastic storage bins when you have DealDash! You will find lots of options in the Home, Garden, and Tools category. There is an excellent product that is sometimes offered that has wall storage comprised of small baskets. This would be an excellent place to store your tape, scissors, and tags as well as ribbon. There are also storage cubes and shelves on DealDash. Just click here to check out the auctions.

The Wrapping Process

When I’m getting started, I like to clear the space I’ll be using. Typically, I try to use a kitchen table because of the size of the flat surface area. I stack my gifts based on who they’re going to and when I will need the gift. Family gifts go first, followed by friends, then co-workers, and finally any Christmas Party or White Elephant gifts that I’ll need.

I take one stack and put it to my left. I write out a name tag for my first gift.  And then I wrap the present, put the name tag on it, then set it off to my right. As I wrap more gifts, I stack them up until I complete the full stack. Once I finish the family stack, I set them back in their designated area and move on to the next stack.

By writing the name tag out first, I’m making sure I can’t forget who the gift belongs to. By keeping stacks separate, I’m able to be sure I know where the gifts are going and I’m able to check off who I’ve finished my gifts for to be sure I’m not missing anything.

Thanks for Reading

Personally, I love wrapping gifts. However, if you aren’t a fan, these tips should make your time easier with better organization. Thanks so much for reading this DealDash article on gift wrapping. I hope that it was helpful to you.
