Doing all of these things for 5 people (and 2 cats) can get very overwhelming. Ergo, I decided to distribute the tasks to the kids according to their abilities. At first, it felt like even more work to have the kids help. However, after showing them how to do the tasks a few times they were able to help. This has given me a huge energy boost, as well as being a great family bonding experience. No one likes to do the cleaning, so if we all do it together it will be done faster.
