As the weather is cooling slightly, it’s a wonderful time to start thinking about fall recipes. Beef stew is one of my favorites.

There is just something to me that says “Winter is coming” with a big hearty bowl of beef stew. DealDash Makes: Home Made Energy Drinks

If you’re the kind of person who loves energy drinks, I’m sure that you realize that they are quite bad for your health.

Here are a few alternatives for you to get the energy you crave from a drink, without all of the chemicals that are terrible for you. They might not have fancy cans with fun designs, but they are better for your health, and taste great, too!

Lemon-Honey Energy

Ingredients:

  • hot water
  • 1 1/2 – 2 tsp honey (to taste)
  • Juice from 1/2 a lemon

DealDash Cooks: Hot & Sweet Pork

Some sweet and spicy pork sounds delicious for dinner tonight. This recipe is delicious and also low in fat and calories.

Before I became more interested in cooking, whenever I heard “pork” I immediately thought “fattening.” Surprisingly, though, 3 ounces of pork is only around 200 calories. I am a big eater, though, so I probably eat twice that as a serving size. However, ounce for ounce it’s very similar to chicken, which I have always thought of as low in calories. DealDash Recipes: Baked Potato Chips

Who doesn’t love potato chips? Salty, crispy, potato-y goodness abounds! Unfortunately, traditional potato chips are full of fat, oils, and calories. Here’s a recipe for baked potato chips that is much lighter than the original.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Russet potatoes
  • 1 Tbs olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven – 400 degrees is just right
  • Scrub the potatoes completely, rinse, and pat dry. Using an extremely sharp knife, Slice the potatoes very thin (about 1/8″ or thinner.)
