DealDash Ends Negative Thinking
Being plagued by negative thinking can be really depressing. Let’s turn that negative self-talk into positive affirmations. Let DealDash help.
Do you find yourself frequently engaging yourself into negative self-talk and having a negative attitude? There are a few simple things that you can do to try and turn that all around. You don’t have to be the happiest and cheeriest person on your street, but it would be nice if you could treat yourself kindly and with respect. Let’s try to stop the negative attitude and think positively.
Be as Nice to Yourself as You Are to Others
If you’re finding yourself being overly critical of yourself and mentally beating yourself up, stop right now. Think about it, how many times have you called yourself stupid, dumb, or just been generally down on yourself lately? If a close friend or relative had done the same things would you have been that rude to them? Probably not! Try to treat yourself with a little more kindness.
Self-Criticisms to Positive Suggestions
Instead of being so hard on yourself and berating yourself, why not try to take those harsh and angry words and turn them into positive suggestions? Instead of “Ahhh I’m such a slob!” when you make a mess, why not try “I’ll clean this mess up, and I’ll take out the trash while I’m at it!” or “Ugh, I’m stupid! Why Did I forget to do that?!” Try “I’ll make a list next time, then I’ll be sure to get everything done.”
Look on the Bright Side
If you’re noticing a lot of negative self-talk and bad attitude lately, maybe you’re just feeling a little down. Why not try to think of some of the happy and positive things in your life? Think about your friends, family, pets, hobbies, or even your latest and greatest DealDash win!
Thinking positively doesn’t have to be about a huge and amazing thing – even just looking forward to getting a nice coffee or treating yourself to a magazine can do the trick. If you are able to think about and do a few small nice things for yourself every day then you’ll start noticing a positive change, little by little.
Another great way to cheer yourself up and make other people happy at the same time is to volunteer. There are many places that are in dire need of volunteers such as animal shelters, libraries, schools, and nursing homes. For the latter two you’ll most likely need to have a CORI background check, but it will be worth it to see the smiles on the faces of the young and the old.
