How Addicting are Penny Auctions?

Penny Auctions … Addicting … ?

Some people would say participating in penny auctions can be addicting. I would say this really depends on the personality of the person.

I personally don’t think penny auctions are addicting however I do find myself very devoted to checking DealDash first when shopping and before buying something. I find the fun I have when I’m bidding, watching, and observing auctions is very exciting but don’t think I could define the experience as addicting. I can however see how having the chance to win an incredible item at an amazing price could potentially be addicting for some. Have you ever won something and felt that rush of adrenaline? I think it’s that “rush of adrenaline” which is the addicting part in anything which leaves us wanting more.

Some people can’t handle the rush and may be more susceptible to addicting elements. When you win an auction, there certainly is is a rush of excitement. That’s why I do believe people with addicting personalities should exercise caution when joining penny auction sites. I believe most people just play for the thrill, the entertainment, the rush of winning, the chance of cheating the “Retail-Giant” and getting something for close to nothing. Who can blame them? I like seeing people having fun while bidding on DealDash. I really enjoy reading their statuses, analyzing their profile pictures, seeing how long they’ve been a member of the site, etc.

DealDash is a way for people to take shopping to the next level and have fun while doing it. Besides, if you don’t win the auction on DealDash, you can ALWAYS buy the item at retail price and get all your bids back. You still get the item you wanted and everything comes with free shipping! I consider this a WIN/WIN. 🙂 So are penny auctions addicting? Not necessarily. Be responsible, play and shop smart, and use the tools DealDash provides and you’re sure to have a good time!
