DealDash Quarantine Cookie Tips

DealDash

Cooking and baking have risen in popularity since people have been under quarantine. DealDash has some great tips for delicious cookies.

Do you love cookies? Me too! Making a fresh batch of cookie really is one of the simple pleasures in life, and luckily one we can still enjoy. Sometimes cookies don’t turn out the way you hoped they would. Here are some tips from DealDash for making sure that the cookies that you bake turn out delightfully delicious.

Choose Your Recipe

The first thing you need to do is choose the recipe for the cookies you would like. Be sure that you have everything that you need to make your batch of cookies. In these times it can be difficult if not impossible to get certain ingredients. So if you are missing an ingredient, you have a choice – you can try to find a substitute ingredient, or pick a different recipe. Also, be sure that you fully understand the measurements and instructions. This will save you some aggravation later on.

Mix Up Your Ingredients Carefully

Next, after choosing your recipe and gathering your ingredients you will want to wash your hands very thoroughly, of course. Also, be sure that your workspace is clean and disinfected. After making sure everything is clean you can measure and mix your ingredients.

Cook Them Carefully

Finally, be sure that your oven is been preheated to the proper temperature. Wait for your oven to beep to let you know that it is hot enough. After putting the cookies in, monitor the oven closely while they are baking. Be sure that you bake them just long enough so that they are golden brown all over or just around the edges depending on your recipe. Overcooking them leads to hard burned cookies that no one will eat. After they have cooled from the oven, store them in an airtight container so that they stay as fresh as possible.

DealDash Cooks: Next Level Christmas Cookies

DealDash

Classic Christmas cookies are delicious, but why not take them up a notch? DealDash has some great cookie ideas for you.

Christmas cookies have become a staple of the holidays, but everyone makes the same old Christmas cookies. Sure, we could tell you to try new cookie cutters and create different shapes, but we’d like to look at going a step further. Read on for some tasty unique cookie ideas, from DealDash.

Airbrush Your Sugar Cookies

If you really like your sugar cookies, consider ways to step up your game a bit. Rather than using sprinkles, consider diving into the world of icing or airbrushing. You can find edible airbrushing that will allow you to make your cookies a true piece of art. You can find the equipment at many craft stores and also cooking stores.

Cookie Sandwiches

Another great way to improve the classic is to make cookie sandwiches. Think of an Oreo for this idea. When you make your cookies, place a layer of cream in the middle and make a cookie sandwich.

Candy Bar Cookies

Candy Bar Cookies are the best. How can you go wrong when you combine a piece of candy with your favorite cookie? You can use any style of cookie and follow the normal instructions, then place chunks of your favorite candy on top. Some candies melt a bit but that adds to the gooey-ness of your snack. Using chocolate makes this one of my favorite options.

New Twists on Old Classics

  • If you’re looking for something really unique, try making vanilla meringue cookies. It seems like a pretty ordinary recipe, but you can use a little food coloring or food sprinkles to change the color and make it look a little more festive. While these cookies taste good, I love to make them with alternating green and red meringue to really pull in the Christmas spirit.
  • Everyone has heard of an Oatmeal cookie, but I like to make it a little different. In the same way that you can add a bit of extra flavor with raisins, I like to add cranberries or chocolate chips. People will see the oatmeal and find comfort in the fact that it’s a recipe they’re familiar with. But they’ll see the red from the cranberries and it will take them by surprise a bit.

DealDash Cooks: Tips to Make Great Cookies

DealDash

With all of the different holidays coming up, it’s time to make some cookies. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Making a fresh batch of cookies really is one of the simple pleasures in life. Unfortunately for many, their cookies do not turn out the way that they had hoped they would. Here are some tips for making sure that the cookies that you bake turn out great each time, from DealDash.

Check the Recipe

The first thing you need to do is read over your recipe. You need to make sure that you have everything that you need to make your batch of cookies. You also need to make sure that you fully understand the measurements and instructions so that you know you will be able to measure and prepare everything correctly.

In addition to the edible ingredients, also be sure to have your cooking items available as well. Gather your cookie cutters, your rolling pin, and other items to have them handy.

Don’t Handle the Dough too Much

You also need to be sure that you are handling the cookie dough properly. The number one reason that most cookies do not turn out well is that the dough has been overworked. Overworking your cookie dough will cause the cookies to become flat or even tough in some cases.

Keep a Close Eye on the Oven

Making sure you monitor the oven closely when you are baking cookies is also very important. You need to be sure that you cook them just long enough so that they are golden brown all over. Or perhaps just around the edges, depending on your recipe. Overcooking them leads to cookies that no one is going to want to eat. After they have been prepared you also need to store them in an airtight container so that they stay as fresh as possible. Failing to do so will give you stale and inedible cookies.

Thanks for Reading the Blog

Baking cookies should be a fun experience so you need to be sure that you learn all that you can about making the best batch of cookies that you can. That way you will be able to share freshly made, delicious cookies each time you decide to bake.

Birthdays Are More Fun With DealDash

Do you have a friend, child, or other loved one that is having a birthday soon? Here are a few tips to make their day great!

A birthday is that one special time per year where you are the star! Make your family and friends feel extra special on their birthday with these simple and fun ideas. You don’t have to spend a lot of time or money to make someone’s birthday extra special.

Everyone likes cake on their birthday, but how about making your loved one a different (or extra!) treat this year? Just because we have a regular birthday cake doesn’t mean that we can also have the birthday person’s favorite dessert as well. This year on her birthday my daughter wanted brownies. So instead of getting a big cake like we usually do, we got a small cake, and baked brownies together as well. Instead of having a big slice of cake we had little slices of cake and little brownie squares. Some other delicious birthday treat ideas include cookies, cheesecake, and apple pie.

Just because your family member is over 12 years old doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve a party hat. Make them a hat out of paper, or buy them a silly hat at the dollar store. You’re allowed to be as silly as you like on your birthday, whether you’re 8 or 88! Other fun hat ideas include princess/prince crown, cowboy hat, or big sombrero.

Don’t forget the card! Now that just about every one of every age has email, I have noticed that receiving paper cards are getting more and more scarce by the year. I don’t know about you, but personally I save paper cards. It’s nice to look back a few years from now and see all of the well-wishes and cute cards that people picked out. You can get a card at the store, make a card with paper and markers, or if you are still stuck on the computer, how about making a card and printing it out? A paper card in the hand just feels so much more special than an email does.

Last but not least, why don’t you get them a little present? You can find some great gift ideas and fun presents on DealDash. DealDash has items for people of all ages and stages of life. Just click right here and you can go browse on DealDash. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!
