Have a Relaxing Day – with DealDash

DealDash

Things have been stressful lately. Here are some suggestions from DealDash to help you unwind and relax.

Sometimes we all have bad days. It seems like there have been a lot of those, lately. However, more important than having a bad day is how you react to it. You can either accept that you’re having a bad day, or you can try to relax and treat yourself kindly. Follow these suggestions from DealDash and turn your bad day into something a little better.

Get a Little Exercise

To begin with, a little light exercise can help brighten your mood. Exercise is not only stress-relieving but also an endorphin booster, too. Also, you don’t have to be a top athlete in amazing shape to be able to benefit from some gentle exercise. You can go outside and get a little fresh air and take a walk through your neighborhood. If you prefer something a little more challenging you can take on a hiking or biking trail. If you live near a beach, there’s nothing better than a brisk walk along the water to help you unwind and let your problems fade away.

Spend Time Outdoors

Next, we mentioned this above, but spending time outside can help turn your mood around. If you’re not interested in exercising, that’s fine! Take a drive to your favorite nature spot, find somewhere to sit, and just take in the beauty of nature and listen to the little animals outside. The beach, the forest, or even just a park can help you feel better about your day. Fresh air is an excellent mood-booster and you’ll find your mood has improved after just a short time outside.

Get Better Sleep – Let DealDash Help

DealDash

Staying up late and not getting enough sleep can make you feel terrible. Read this new DealDash article and find out how to get better sleep.

If you have been working from home, taking care of kids, and still trying to get in a little “me time”, you probably have been sacrificing some sleep. More and more people are having difficulty sleeping these days. There are a few things that you can do to help yourself get better sleep. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Make it a Routine

To start with, a routine can help you get more sleep. Be sure to start one of your own to help you wind down. Doing the same things at the same time each night to prepare for bed is just the routine you need to help you sleep. No matter what your personal routine, the important thing is going to be at the same time and waking up at the same time. Some things to think about adding into your routine:

  • Putting a fresh glass of water by the bed to drink during the night or in the morning
  • Removing make-up, washing your face, moisturizing your skin
  • Setting out your clothes for the next day
  • Writing a to-do list for the next day

Set Aside Some Time to Relax

Next, it’s important to be able to find some time during the day to relax. This can be anything from listening to music, taking a nice bath, video chatting to a friend, or reading a book. When you set aside some time during the day to relax it will help keep your stress levels lower. It’s hard to sleep at the end of the day if you have been feeling a lot of stress, so relaxing during the day can help.

Pamper Yourself, DealDash Style

Finally, since de-stressing yourself can help you sleep, self-care is a must! My ultimate favorite (and one of the most popular) categories on DealDash is Fashion, Health, and Beauty. It’s a fact – no one can have a great day every single day. However, more important than your bad day is how you react to it. There is a huge difference between going home and moping about your bad day, or going home and perking yourself up. Follow these tips from DealDash and you’ll be improving your day in no time flat!

Take Some Time for Your Hobby

First, what’s your hobby? Is it reading, writing, video games, reading, cooking, bidding on DealDash, or sewing? There are hundreds of hobbies out there. If you find yourself having a bad day when you get home forget about the chores and housework for a while and spend some time on your hobby.

Adult Coloring Books

Next, there are few things more relaxing than coloring in adult coloring books. If you haven’t gotten any yet, you’re in for a treat. There are so many different themes of coloring books such as ocean scenery, butterflies and birds, mandalas, forest creatures, flowers, and more. If you have a theme in mind, they probably have a coloring book for it. You can get adult coloring books just about anywhere, but the craft store tends to have the most selection.

Take a Walk

Next, exercise, in general, is a stress-relieving endorphin booster. However, some of us really aren’t that sporty. No problem! Taking a simple walk around the block, through the woods, or even around the mall is enough to help you relax and unwind. You don’t even have to break a sweat to get the great benefits of taking a walk. It’s one of the ultimate stress-busters.

Spend Time with Friends

Finally, spending time with people who you really enjoy their company is an excellent way to unwind from a bad day. You can meet for coffee, or even invite them on that walk that we talked about earlier. If you don’t have time to physically spend time with them, then give them a call or a text. You’ll get all of the benefits of chatting to a friend in the comfort of your living room.

DealDash – Your Lifestyle Affects Your Sleep Cycle

DealDashHow does your lifestyle affect your sleep cycle? Let DealDash explain it to you in this article.

We live in a society where the pace of life is hectic from the time we wake up to the time we go to bed. More and more people are having some difficulty sleeping. Work, family, bills, and the atmosphere of the city where everyone is in a hurry- all these factors end up influencing our hormonal system in one way or another. This is usually in the form of stress, and as we know, a high level of stress means high levels of cortisol. There are a few things that you can do to help. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Take Some Time to Relax

It is important to be able to find some time during the day for ourselves to try to relax. This can mean strolling in a park, going to a library, listening to music, taking a relaxing bath, or doing another activity that we like. This is in order to try to reduce stress levels, and thus at the end of the day have more options to achieve a cycle of sleep-wake. The sleep-wake cycle allows us to rest and recover.

Sleep Disorders: Insomnia & Hypersomnia

Insomnia

Insomnia can be common in specific situations of high stress. Some examples include exams, health problems, major life changes, etc. However, it can become chronic and is no longer directly related to the problem that caused it. In order for us to be able to talk about insomnia at the level of illness or disorder, it must be “common,” which is considered three or more nights a week.

Indicators of insomnia may include involuntary waking before six and a half hours of rest, multiple instances of waking up at night without being able to get back to sleep in more than half an hour, or taking more than half an hour to fall asleep at bedtime. Again, having these things happen to you occasionally is not typically a problem. It’s only when this becomes common that it’s an issue.

Hypersomnia

Hypersomnia means excessive sleep during the day, and there are different syndromes and manifestations of different origins. For example, narcolepsy-cataplexy syndrome is characterized by uncontrollable sleep attacks, episodes of paralysis during sleep, hallucinations during sleep and/or cataplexy (loss of muscle tone).

Another syndrome, sleep apnea, affects mainly (but not only) hypertensive and obese people. In apnea, breathing stops during more or less long periods of sleep, which can lead to cardiac, neurological and social problems. There are medical treatments for apnea, such as the application of a continuous-entry oxygen mask, also known as a C-Pap. This is a serious disorder, and if you suspect you suffer from sleep apnea you should schedule a visit with your doctor.

Have Anxiety? DealDash Has Information

DealDash

Anxiety affects many people. If you are one of them, read this article from DealDash.

For starters, what is generalized anxiety disorder? A generalized anxiety disorder is characterized by a pattern of frequent and constant worry and nervousness. This can be regarding real or imaginary events. When this feeling lasts for more than six months, then you know that it is time to get treatment. Hopefully, if you read this article you will make the decision to go see a doctor about your anxiety. They are there to help. Read on for more information, from DealDash.

What Causes Anxiety?

People who suffer from it often cannot describe what causes them to feel this sense of distress. Unfortunately, this can become an impediment to a normal life if the anxiety becomes the center of their lives.

Symptoms of This Disorder

The main symptom is the constant feeling of worry and nervousness even when there are no objective causes for it. Concerns can shift from one topic to another. These can include sentimental, economic, work, and family. Anxiety can always find a new motive. Even if you are aware of the main basis of your distress, it is difficult for people with anxiety to control it.

Other symptoms are more intense agitation, irritability, and more tension than usual or what would be reasonable in a given situation. People often have trouble concentrating and difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep.

Physical symptoms may include a headache, tremors, sweating, heart palpitations, muscle pain, weight loss, and digestive problems.

Causes of Generalized Anxiety Disorder

It is not known for sure what causes a person to suffer from anxiety, but it does seem to be a set of several causes. One of them can be genetic because often several generations of the same family have it. There is also evidence that certain chemical changes in the brain can lead to an anxiety disorder. Anxiety often occurs along with other mental disorders, such as panic attacks or depression that affect serotonin levels.

Treatment of Anxiety

Treatment of mental illness is never straightforward and often involves different branches. These branches include therapy and medication. These include antidepressants (tricyclic, SSRIs), buspirone and (short-term) benzodiazepines. These medications should never be taken without medical supervision. Also, they need to be prescribed by your doctor.

Stress reduction methods are also often recommended. These methods can include exercise and relaxation techniques. Also, you can try dietary modifications. Reducing caffeine, stimulants, and alcohol can be especially helpful in reducing anxiety.

Other stress reduction methods can include long walks, hot baths, and spa treatments. Whatever makes you feel happy and relaxed should be at the top of your to-do list when your anxiety is bothering you.
