However, people in most places are still advised to stay at home as much as possible. Getting your dog clean at home is fairly easy, especially in the summer. Get Your Supplies Together

In order to give your pooch a bath, you have to get your supplies ready. You can either give your dog a quick rinse or a more thorough wash, it’s up to you.  Some supplies you should have are a brush, a large bath or beach towel, bucket, brush, sponge, nail clippers, and doggie shampoo. Also, you should keep their favorite treats on hand in case your dog isn’t enjoying his bath. Having all of your bathing materials on hand will make the process go quite a bit more smoothly.

Where Will You Wash Him?

Next, depending on your dog’s size, you might bathe him in the sink, bathtub, or a kiddie pool outside. If your dog is a young pup or a small breed adult dog, then the sink will work. However, be sure that you put a towel on the counter around the sink so he doesn’t slip off. You can also put a rubber mat or small hand towel in the bottom of the sink so he feels more secure.

Additionally, if your dog is medium-sized, they will probably be more comfortable in the bathtub. I also advise you to put a rubber mat or towel in the bottom of the tub so his claws don’t slip around too much.

Finally, if you have a large dog, you probably need to take this outside to a kiddie pool. You can typically pick one of these up for around $20 at any big box-type store. If you don’t have a kiddie pool or can’t find/order one, no problem. You will just have to use the tried and true “bucket and sponge” method.
