Make a List, Make a Map

Finally, map out the entire day. It may come a surprise, but most of the people showing up at 3 AM aren’t going to last all day. Set your stores in order of priority- make sure that the best gift or the best deal is at the top of your list. Once you’ve got what you need, move on to the next store, no dilly-dallying around.
