DealDash Does Nail Art

Nail art is a fun hobby that you can pick up easily and inexpensively. Give it a try!

I would like to start off saying that I am in no way an expert in nail art – As a woman in her mid-30’s I have been painting my nails for 20 years or so, but only got into nail art in the past few years. There are some amazing nail artists out there, but it takes time and patience to make real works of art on your nails. With that said, you can have a lot of fun playing around with all of the different colors and patterns on your nails. And unlike some other hobbies, you can get started using supplies that you probably already have at home.

Let’s start you off with an easy, cute design that you can customize to match any outfit – flowers!

Supplies:

• Nail Polish in 3 colors of your choice, plus a clear base & topcoat
• Nail polish remover & Cotton rounds, q-tips
• Pin with plastic pinhead (like for sewing)

Directions:

1. Remove any old nail polish that is on your nails.
2. File your nails to get the shape and length you want.
3. Paint a clear basecoat on your nails, let dry.
4. Paint your background color on your nails, let dry.
5. Using the pinhead, put 5 round drops of 1 color on each nail, positioning so they all share an edge, let dry. This will be the main part of your flower.
6. Using the pinhead, take a different color of polish and put 1 larger drop of color in the middle of the flower that you just painted, let dry. This is the middle of your flower.
7. After you have completed all of your flowers and let them dry, paint your topcoat on, let dry.
8. Admire your flowered nails!
