DealDash Experiments in the Kitchen

Don’t be afraid to experiment in the kitchen. The worst that can happen is one ruined dinner. Here are some ideas from DealDash.

Do you think that you aren’t a good cook? Do people occasionally make little jokes about your cooking skills? The main problem that people have who tell themselves that they cannot cook well is a lack of patience. They turn the burners up too high to get it done faster, or they don’t pay enough attention to the instructions in the recipe. They might not even have enough patience or confidence in themselves to master the recipe and put their own personal spin on it. In my experience, the skills that you need to possess in order to be a good cook is a will to follow the recipe’s instructions in addition to mixing in a little of your own creative spirit.

First, Pay Attention to the Recipe

Cooking is akin to going to a paint night in the kitchen. Imagine that the painting instructor is there to tell you what brush to use and what colors that you should use in each area. Now transfer this analogy over to the kitchen. The recipe serves as your instructor, it tells you what temperature to set the oven at, what ingredients to use, and most importantly, it tells you how much of those ingredients that are needed. Too much of an ingredient and it can overpower your dish, too little of an ingredient can make your food bland and boring. Have patience, follow the recipe to a “T”, and you will end up with delicious, predictable food.

Next, Throw in Some Experimentation

To be an excellent cook you must also be willing to experiment once you have mastered a recipe. Perhaps you have used parsley in a dish in order to jazz it up? Maybe the parsley made it more interesting and delicious. This could transfer over to another recipe that is similar in nature. That parsley could have been used in a chicken alfredo dish, but it would also fit into a simple spaghetti bolognese dish as well. Adding more variety to your ingredients translates into more intrigue in regard to the dish’s flavor.

Don’t be scared of the kitchen, be brave, have confidence that your dish will be delicious. Remember these key tips and you will be whipping up dishes to impress your loved ones in no time.
