DealDash – Feeling Sick but Looking Good
Here are a few ideas from DealDash to look your best even when you’re feeling your worst.
It’s winter, so let’s face it – you’re either currently sick, getting over being sick, or about to be sick. That’s just the nature of the winter season. However, unless you are lucky enough to be able to stay home until you are 100% better, you’re probably going to have to soldier on through the illness and go out in public. No one likes to go out when they feel terrible, but here are a few ideas from DealDash to look and feel a little better when you have to go out when you’re sick.
Moisturize, inside and out! When you’re sick you need to drink extra water. Not only does your body need water to heal, you also need to drink extra water to keep your skin from getting dried out in the cold winter air. In addition to the extra water for inside, you need to be extra vigilant with moisturizer and lotions when you’re sick. Even if you’re perhaps someone who doesn’t regularly moisturize your face, you should take good care of your facial skin when you’re sick. If you’re constantly blowing your nose the skin around your nose and lips is going to get very dry and chapped. Put some moisturizer on it!

While you’re moisturizing your face, be sure to put some lip balm on as well. Your lips are sure to get extra dry from the weather as well as from your coughing and sneezing. Try a tinted lip balm to put a little color on your face so you look a little more lively than you feel.
Wear bright cheery colors. I know that it’s tempting to wear dark or drab colors when you’re feeling terrible but put on a nice bright color. It will make your outlook on life just a little bit more optimistic, which is key to starting to feel better.
