DealDash Helps: Keep Your Nails Healthy
Strong, beautiful nails are a sign of good health. Let DealDash help improve the look and quality of your nails.
Beautiful and healthy nails are hallmarks of a healthy person. People often look at your hands when you first meet them due to shaking hands, admiring your nail polish, or even checking to see if you have a wedding ring! Keep those nails in good shape and healthy with these tips and tricks from DealDash. Read on to find out more.
Be Kind to Your Nails
Firstly, you need to make sure that you aren’t abusing your nails. When we’re talking nails, abuse includes biting them, using them as tools to open things, and getting false nails put on at the beauty shop. All of these things hurt the nail, and even though getting false nails can make them look nicer temporarily, it will hurt the health of your nails in the long run.
Keep Your Nails Clean
An important step in having nice-looking nails is to keep both your hands and your nails clean. You can wash them regularly with soap and water, but if you really want to make them clean then you should use a nail brush. This is a gentle way to remove dirt, dead skin, and bacteria from your hands and nails. You can get a nail brush at any big box store, I have even seen them at the dollar store!
If you’d like to improve not only your nails but also your hands you can do a sugar scrub on them. You can make a scrub with just sugar and olive oil, or you can add some essential oils as well. If you don’t feel like making a special scrub for your hands you can always use a scrub that’s marketed towards use on the face.
Moisturization is Key
If you want soft hands and nice cuticles, then you need to moisturize your hands daily. In the winter, you will want to moisturize your hands after every handwashing. Taking care of your cuticles is an important step in having healthy nails. To do this you can massage any kind of oil like coconut or olive oil around your cuticles to hydrate them and make them both soft and beautiful. You really can’t moisturize your hands too much, so err on the side of more moisturization than less.
Protect Your Hands
Do you do a lot of work in your garden? Or perhaps you work in an environment that is bad for your hands and nails such as a profession that you have to wash your hands a lot like a chef? If so, then it’s important that you try to wear gloves whenever possible to avoid damage to your nails.
