What Type?
Long ago are the days when you only had the option of “car” or “truck”. Nowadays you have the option of car, truck, crossover, SUV, van, and many other types and styles of vehicles. If you’re not sure what you want, then you should eliminate what you know that you don’t want, first. For example, I have a family of 5, and often drive around an extra kid here and there, so small cars and pickup trucks are definitely out. I am not a big fan of vans, so I am left with crossovers and SUVs. If you can whittle down the list of what type to just a choice or two it will be much easier when you go into the showroom.
What Options?
After you have decided what type of vehicle that you’re looking for then you can decide what options that you are interested in. Some options might include choosing cloth or leather, analog or digital dash display, navigation, and if you want a sunroof or not. You should write down all of the options that you definitely want, so you can remember what to tell the salesperson when they ask.
Price Range?
You will also have to decide what price range that you are willing to pay for your new car. Depending on what options that you want, your car can vary in price a lot, even up to a $15,000 difference! For example, a base model of car might cost $25,000 but the same car fully-loaded is around $38,000. It all depends on what you’re looking for.
What Color?
Finally, after you have decided all of the other items on the list, you can choose what color that you would like your car to be. Many models of cars let you choose not only the outside color but also the color of the upholstery inside as well. This might sound unimportant to some people, but you will be spending a lot of time in this car, so it’s important that you like everything about it!
