DealDash Saves Extra Money
When you think of DealDash you probably think of a fun shopping site, right? Well, DealDash can help you save as well.
Did you spend a little too much money these past few months? Not only on presents but also on food, travel, and entertainment? Well, DealDash is here with some ideas for you to grow your savings, little by little. It might seem easier said than done, but putting away a small amount of money each month isn’t too difficult as long as you are committed to making it happen for yourself.
Remind Yourself
If you are committed to saving money for a particular purchase or event, such as a vacation, then give yourself some visual reminders of the reason that you are scrimping and saving. If you are planning on taking a family cruise next year and you need to save up money for your tickets, then find a little sticker of a boat, sunglasses, a flip-flop, or whatever will remind you of your upcoming cruise, and stick it on your credit/debit card. That way, every time you take out your card to buy something you will see that little reminder and it will make you think “Do I really want this knick-knack, or would I rather save for my cruise?” I bet 4 out of 5 times you will put that stuff that you don’t really need back on the shelf and save the money for your cruise instead.
24 Hour Rule
If you’re browsing at a store or doing a little on-line shopping because you’re bored, set a reminder on your phone to alert you when 24-hours has passed. If you still think it’s a great idea to make that impulse purchase, then do it, with no regrets. Chances are, once you really think about it you’ll be able to make an impartial decision.
Keep a List, Buy on Sale
Having a large family means that I am constantly in need of something for one of my family members. Whether it’s shoes for my son, clothes detergent, or socks for my husband, everyone always needs something. I keep a running list of things that we need around the house and try to hold off buying things until I see them for a great deal. This means a little more shopping around and a little more research to get the best deal, but I look at it like it’s a fun challenge rather than a chore.
Luckily for me, a lot of the things that end up on my “need to buy” list show up on DealDash! When you can find something on DealDash that you were going to buy anyway it’s always a good feeling. Since DealDash has the BIN (Buy It Now) benefit you can bid risk-free. Simply pay the BIN retail price to buy the item if you don’t win, and you will get all of your bids back as well as free shipping. Now that’s a deal!
