DealDash: Staying Calm in a Hectic World
The world is a busy, mixed-up place sometimes. Here are some suggestions from DealDash how to stay calm when things are a little crazy.
The kids need to be taken to school, soccer, dance class – and in-between these journeys you need to clean the house, deal with the repair guy, go grocery shopping, take the baby to the doctor, and then cook dinner. That isn’t even including if you have a full-time job! It’s important to stay calm even when the things around you are a little bit crazy. Here are some tips from DealDash on how to keep it together.
One of the most important ways to keep everything together when things get hectic is to have a set schedule. Yes, maybe you have to do the school, soccer, dance class routine every day, but things are a lot easier if you make yourself a schedule with every waking hour accounted for, and block out the times that you are busy every day so you don’t accidentally double-book yourself. Try to schedule your grocery shopping and other weekly errands on the same time and day, and if you or your child has regular weekly/bi-weekly/monthly doctor appointments try to keep that to the same time and day as well.
It’s easy to get burned out when you have a super busy hectic life, so be sure to schedule yourself in some down time as well. If you’re able to do that weekly, great! Getting through a crazy week is much easier if you know that you know that you are going to have a few hours of “me time” on Sunday afternoon.
Another way to stay sane in a hectic world is by keeping in touch with close friends and family. Try to keep up with your closest friends and family members weekly, it will be good for you and them as well. Luckily we live in a time where technology such as Facebook and Skype allows us to easily keep up with people even if they live on the other side of the world.
To use this technology you have to have a computer, tablet, or at the very least a smartphone. If your electronics are not up to date you’re not going to have as good of an experience.
