The first thing you should do is exam your closet to see if you have any clothes that you would like to keep. If you prefer to see your clothes in person, many consignment stores have “boutique” areas where they put the designer items.

Set a Monthly Budget

In order to stay fashionable on a budget, you have to set a monthly budget for spending money on clothes and accessories.  You first have to calculate how much money you would have after your monthly expenses. If you want more money for clothes, you can cut back on some entertainment choices such as less going out, or a cheaper way to watch TV.
