Feeling Sluggish? DealDash Energy Tips

DealDash

Are you feeling a little sluggish lately? Help improve your energy with these suggestions and tips from DealDash.

As we move into the fall, it’s common to start feeling a little sluggish and run down. There are quite a few ways that you can feel more energized. Use these energy tips from DealDash to feel your best perky self.

Energy Tip # 1 – Eat Healthy Meals

Firstly, if you are feeling sluggish, the easiest way you can feel more energetic is to cut down on junk food and eat healthy meals. This is the number one energy tip because it’s easy to do, good for your health, and should not add much (if any) to your budget. I know that junk food tastes good, and you don’t have to cut it out completely. Just cut it down to once a week instead of daily.

Energy Tip #2 – Don’t Skimp on Sleep

Next, another easy suggestion is to get more sleep! If you have been surviving on 6 hours of sleep per night, you’re not sleeping enough! It’s no wonder that you are feeling sluggish if you aren’t getting enough hours of sleep per night. The Mayo Clinic has an excellent guide on how many hours of sleep per night each age group should get each night. Click here to see the guide for all age ranges. The amount of sleep an adult needs according to the guide is 7-9 hours per night.

If you decide to try this energy tip, DealDash can help. Having new bed linens, pillows, and comforters can help you sleep. Simply follow this link here and you can see a few of the bedroom and sleep items that you can win or BIN (Buy It Now). You can also browse the Home, Garden, and Tools category (here) and find other home items such as candles, paintings, and vases.

Energy Tip #3 – Get Help from Your Family

Finally, this might be an unexpected tip, but get some help! As a stay-at-home-mom with 3 kids, I find myself struggling with all of the cooking, cleaning, laundry, appointments, and everything else. Doing all of these things for 5 people (and 2 cats) can get very overwhelming. Ergo, I decided to distribute the tasks to the kids according to their abilities. At first, it felt like even more work to have the kids help. However, after showing them how to do the tasks a few times they were able to help. This has given me a huge energy boost, as well as being a great family bonding experience. No one likes to do the cleaning, so if we all do it together it will be done faster.

DealDash’s Spring Cleaning Series: Baby’s Bedroom

DealDash

Welcome back to DealDash’s newest series – Spring Cleaning! Today’s new article is all about cleaning the baby’s bedroom.

Depending on what part of the country you’re in, spring is either coming or it has already arrived. It doesn’t seem like winter ever showed its head, but it’s still time for spring cleaning. The next part of our series is addressing the baby’s room. Read on for some super suggestions from DealDash.

Look for Unused Pieces

It’s a room that is often forgotten, but with a baby constantly growing, it can get overcrowded pretty quickly. First, start by getting rid of anything that you obviously don’t need anymore. Is your baby in pull-ups now? Maybe you should get rid of that changing table. Don’t use that baby monitor anymore? Donate it! Never sit in the rocking chair? Relocate it, store it, or donate it.

They Grow so Quickly…

Next, start making piles of outgrown clothing. Your baby probably has plenty of clothes that are too small. Figure out what you can donate or sell, what needs to be thrown away, and what you could repurpose into rags to use for cleaning.

Too Many Outgrown Toys

After clothes, you can start focusing on the toys that you’ve got. If there’s something that you’re baby never plays with, it’s okay to donate or pass to a friend’s baby. We understand that someone put time, effort, and thought into that toy, but if it’s just taking up space and collecting dust, why not donate it so that another child can actually enjoy it?

Maybe you’ve got some toys that are still a little too advanced for your child. Again, there’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s probably safe to put those toys away in a closet or even in the attic for a bit. You can pull them back out when you’re ready.

Focus on Organization

Finally, focus on trying to get organized again. There is probably a lot going on and things in the baby’s room may have gotten a little chaotic. Take a few minutes to figure out what’s working and what isn’t. Shelves may be great. I typically prefer using drawers or boxes. It lets me toss things in the right place without taking as much time to make sure it looks perfect.

DealDash Helps With Bedroom Organization

DealDash

Most people spend at least 8 hours per day in their bedrooms, and things are always more comfortable when they’re organized. This is why you will want to read this article from DealDash and get organized.

However, staying organized can be difficult. It is easy for clutter to take over your house especially in your bedroom. It’s too cold to go outside and do activities, so this is the perfect time to get organized. Organizing your bedroom is important because bedrooms tend to become messy. It will be hard to find the stuff you need if your bedroom has clutter. Here are some tips to keep your bedroom organized, from DealDash.

Clean Under Your Bed

Cleaning under your bed is a good place to start. You will be amazed at what you can find under your bed. Most people find things that they have been looking for. Simply get a box and put your items from under your bed in there. Also, sweep away the dust that is left under there, so there won’t be any dust mites. Organizing the items that are under your bed will help you get rid of the clutter quickly. You can get clear boxes that are meant to go under beds from any big box store like Target or Wal-Mart.

Use a Dresser for Small Daily Items

Next, using a dresser can help you organize the small items in your bedroom. You don’t need a huge dresser for this purpose. A small dresser that fits your extra items will be good enough. It is best to use your dresser as your one-stop shop for the daily items you use. You can put your lint roller, jewelry, and accessories like scarves and gloves in this small dresser. You can find a dresser at a furniture store or at mass merchandise stores.

Buy a Nightstand

A nightstand is perfect for organizing your knick-knacks, too. You can put your items that are lying around on your floor on your Nightstand. Also, you can keep your clock, phone charger, smartwatch charger, and more on this nightstand. It does not hold a lot, but it can make your bedroom less decluttered. You can get a Nightstand from stores such as Walmart, and even DealDash! Yes, it’s true, DealDash offers nightstands.

A guest bedroom is a good thing to have during the holidays. If you will be having some visitors this year you will want to read this article from DealDash on setting up a guest bedroom.

We all have our bedroom in our home, and many of us have kid’s bedrooms, offices, and craft rooms. However, a very important room to have in your home is the guest bedroom. If you don’t have an extra room in your home, no problem. If you have an office, craft room, playroom, or similar you can easily turn part of it into a guest bedroom. Read on for some tips and ideas from DealDash to setting up a guest bedroom in your home.

Setting Up a Single Guest Room

If you are fortunate enough to have an extra room in your home to set up a guest bedroom then you will be able to style and decorate it any way you like. Preferably a visitor bedroom will have a great all-natural illumination and ventilation. Big windows to see the outside, and get the sun in the morning is a great benefit. You will also want to purchase high-quality furnishings that are comfortable and pleasant to look at.

Get High-Quality Furnishings from DealDash

Decorate Tastefully and Neutrally

When decorating a guest bedroom you will want to choose neutral decorations. This is so your 80-year-old grandma will feel just as comfortable in the room as your 25-year-old little sister. Use neutrals such as brown and gray with a few pops of color here and there to liven things up a little. Be sure to put the finishing touches on your guest room with a painting or other piece of art. Just click here to see the art home decor that is available on DealDash.

Combining a Guest Room with Another Room

When you are adding a guest room to another established room it can be a little tricky. If you will be using a sewing room or office as a guest room then usually the best course of action is to add a pull-out couch into the room along with another piece of furniture that can store clothing such as a shelf with bins.

If you are simply adding an extra bed into another bedroom then you might want to consider having a set of twin beds in the room as well as an air mattress in the closet to pull out in case of extra visitors. In this case, you might want to add another small dresser into the room or perhaps a side table with drawers for guests to store their items.
