DealDash’s Family Friendly New Year’s Eve Ideas

You don’t have to be a party person to enjoy New Year’s Eve. Here are some family friendly ideas from DealDash to give you some ideas for your evening.

There comes a time for all of us when the idea of going out to spend the night in a crowded bar just isn’t appealing anymore. If you’re like me, spending the night with your family is a much better option. Read on for some suggestions from DealDash to enjoy the night with your family.

PJ Day for Everyone

Firstly, everyone loves wearing PJs, so an idea is to make it a pajama party for the kids. And also this makes life so much easier when you have to carry them to bed. The kids are already comfy and prepared, so you can just lay them down, pull the covers up, and let them doze back off. Also, this is an especially good plan for the type of person who is super excited to stay up until midnight but just can’t quite make it that late.

Invite Friends and Family for a Potluck Dinner

Next, we like to start the night with a bit of a potluck so that no one person has all of the work. As a result, many hands make the lifting light, as they say. We typically try to have an early dinner so that there is time for the kids to take a quick nap. Truth be told, some of our adults sneak a nap in as well. When you make it a pajama party, everyone can nap!

Special New Year’s Treats

Finally, our family really enjoys baking, so we make some sort of dessert every year that the family eats after the ball drops. It may be cookies with glittery sprinkles or it may be something someone found online. Therefore, the only rule is that the kids have to have some type of role in the process. My daughter loves to decorate with frosting and sprinkles.

Over the years, we’ve found that having a toast is a favorite tradition for our family. We give everyone their drink of choice (including milk or juice for the kids) so that anyone can take part. There’s a very short speech, and we raise our glass. It brings everyone together and allows people to offer a quick message.

Also, if you want to keep the energy up for most of the night, try watching “the ball drop” across the world. It’s really cool to see how everyone celebrates, and Saudi Arabia typically has one of the most beautiful shows imaginable. You won’t be disappointed.

Ideas to Try on DealDash to Save Your Bids

As everyone knows, bids are currency on DealDash. Here are some ideas to preserve your precious bids.

Sit and Lie in Wait on DealDash

There’s no reason that you have to jump into an auction immediately on DealDash. If you are scoping out an auction and see that there are 50+ people competing for the same item then there is no reason to start bidding right away. However, if the auction sinks down to less than 5 or 6 people then you should hop in right away to make sure that this one doesn’t slip away.

Do know, however, that there is a No Jumper rule. This means that you must place at least one bid before the auction reaches $5. Once in a while, there is a special promotion where you can not place a bid after $3. Also, some of the higher value auctions such as cars have a much higher threshold such as $1,000. For the most part, though, the limit is $5.

BIN Can Save Your Bids

If you’ve placed a lot of bids in an auction, yet there are still lots of people still bidding and no end in sight, you should consider doing a BIN (Buy It Now) on the item. Simply press the button that says “Buy It Now” that is located in the bidding box on each auction. After paying the price that is listed on the auction, all of your bids you spent on this item will be returned to your account. The BIN feature is a real lifesaver if you have placed way too many bids on an item. This is a great reason to try to bid on things that you would consider buying in the store anyway.

Different Bidding Styles on DealDash for More Auction Wins

Has your bidding style on DealDash gone stale? Change your style and enjoy fresh auction wins!

Examining and rotating your bidding styles are an excellent way to be a great bidder and get items on DealDash. If you are finding yourself doing the same things you’ve always done but your auction wins have slowed, then it’s time to think up different strategies and styles for bidding. Read on for some ideas.

Personalize Your Profile

A way to make yourself stand out from the many bidders is to personalize your profile. If you are a frequent bidder then people will begin to remember seeing your bidder’s bio and avatar. Bidding frequently, especially in the same categories, is a way to make your bidder name known and remembered in future auctions.

There are a few things on your profile that you can personalize, namely your bidder’s bio and avatar. From the main home screen, click the button in the upper right corner of the toolbar that says “My Dashboard”. From there, look at the menu on the left and click the one that says “Public Profile”. From there you can edit your bidder bio and avatar. You can choose one of the pre-made avatars, or upload your own. Please remember that this is a family-friendly site, so don’t choose anything vulgar or scary, please.

Sample Different Categories

Also, another way to innovative your DealDash bidding style is to bid in a variety of categories. For example, if you typically stick with the Kitchen and Dining category, why not try out the Electronics and Computers category? Bidding in a variety of different categories might be just what it takes to shake out the auctions in your favor. Additionally, you might find that you are able to get better auction wins in a category that you didn’t even think of bidding in before. This can be a great strategy, especially if you are already starting your holiday shopping.

Guide to Using DealDash BIN Wisely

DealDashAre you using the DealDash BIN feature to the best of your ability? Read these tips and figure it out!

DealDash is such a fun place to shop and win auctions! Are you using your bids wisely or are you just bidding all over the place? Don’t bid all “willy nilly”, use your bids wisely and don’t waste your bids. Use the BIN feature to maximize your savings. I would love to help you make sure that you’re getting the most for your money, so read on for more information.

Be Wise – Use BIN on DealDash

Using your bids wisely sometimes means that you know when to stop bidding. There will be times that you win an auction on DealDash, and times you should BIN. When you BIN, it means that you are “Buying It Now”. This means when you pay the price that’s listed on the auction, you will receive the bids back that you used on the auction.

When Should I Stop Bidding?

There is an easy way to tell if it’s time to stop bidding. First, see the maximum amount of bids that you can use to “break even”. Next, compare the number of bids that you have already spent to the current price of the auction.

Simply multiply the number of bids you have used by the amount that you paid for each bid. If you don’t know exactly how much you paid, no problem. Bids are typically priced between 12 and 15 cents. I usually use .15 as my multiplier. Here’s an example:

If you are bidding on an auction that has a BIN (Buy It Now) price of $200, take $200 and divide it by .15 (or however much you paid). With this equation, you get the number 1,333. This is the maximum number of bids that you should use if it happens to be a “Free Auction” promotional event. Otherwise, compare it to the current auction price. It sounds complicated, but it’s really simple once you get the hang of it!

It’s Easy to BIN

Using BIN is wise, and it is super easy! Just look at the picture below. See a big black box? At the bottom of the box, on a gray button,  you will see text that says “Buy this item for ___” When you want to BIN, just click the gray button. After you have paid for the item DealDash will refund all the bids you used to try and win this auction.

Use Your DealDash Bids Like a Pro

Want to learn how to use your DealDash bids like a pro? Read this article and learn some tips and tricks.

Not everyone has a huge budget to spend on bids every week, so why not do the next best thing and use your bids wisely? This will help you conserve bids to use on the things that you really want. Read on for more information.

Get a Good Return on Your Bids

One of the ways to use your bids like a pro is to get a good return on your bids by placing bids during the 2X, 3X or 4X events. During this event, you will receive 20 seconds, 30 seconds or 40 seconds on the clock instead of only 10. By placing bids during these times you will fill up your bid meter much faster, thereby getting the best return on your bids.

Shop the Newest Auctions

Many times on DealDash you will find that the newest items available are not always the most popular. People come to DealDash to get great deals, and usually, they have something in particular in mind that they want when they come to the site.  Therefore, some of the newest items get overlooked. You can cash in on this and use your bids like a pro by checking for the newest auctions available. You will find them at this link, here.

Try a Different Time

If you always bid after work or right before bedtime, but find it difficult to win auctions, try a different time. These are popular times to bid, so there is more competition. Of course, due to the time difference, it can be a little tricky to find a good time. However, it can be very beneficial for you to try out different bidding times. You will also find that weekdays, weekends, and holidays will have different times that are busy. It couldn’t hurt to keep a little notepad by your computer to write down the days and times that you bid and note if it was busy or not.
