DealDash Saves Money By Using Leftovers

Don’t throw money away! Use your leftovers. Read this article for some tips from DealDash.

Many families make more food than they need and end up with leftovers. This, unfortunately, frequently results in food being thrown away and wasted. Think of the wasted money and resources! We can do better than that, so here are some tips from DealDash which will assist you in finding ways to use leftovers.

Stews is Good Anytime

First, if you’ve got leftover vegetables and a small amount of meat, you’re in the perfect position to make stew. You can use leftover beef to make a nice hearty beef stew. You simply need to chop up some carrots, potatoes, and onions to add to the beef. Additionally, you can add other ingredients that are either leftover or fresh such as mushrooms, celery, or even other meat such as bacon!

Typically people tend to eat stew in the fall or winter, but I think that stew is good anytime! Pair it with a fresh garden salad and some bread and you will have a dinner your family will love to devour.

Speaking of Bead

Next, after you have finished your stew, you might have leftover bread. Not to worry, it won’t go to waste. It’s easy to do many things with it including making croutons for salads. Making a delightful French toast for breakfast is another way that you can use your leftover bread. If your bread is too far gone or there isn’t much to work with you can always give animals a treat. You can break it into small pieces and take the family on a walk around the local pond or lake. The ducks that live there will enjoy eating your stale leftover bread.

Make Smoothies With a Blender From DealDash

Finally, I don’t know about you, but my family has a fruit problem. We love fruit so much that we end up buying more than we can eat before it spoils! We were upset each week that we would end up throwing fruit away when it got mushy. However, a few months ago I had an idea. I took all of the almost spoiled fruit, cut it up, and put it in the freezer. Once I had a few different bags of frozen fruit I made smoothies for my kids. They absolutely loved them!

You don’t need a recipe or specific fruit to make a smoothie. Personally, I find that they taste better if you have at least 3-5 different types of fruit. However, you can use as many (or few!) as you like. Some of my family’s favorite fruits to put in a smoothie are strawberries, blackberries, and mangoes. You’ll need a blender to make a smoothie, and DealDash has them. Click here to see the blenders. You will find many kitchen items and small appliances in the Kitchen and Dining category.
