If you have a kitchen, then it needs to be cleaned regularly to keep things safe and more pleasant. Kitchen cleaning doesn’t have to take forever. If you use these quick kitchen cleaning tips from DealDash you will save time and effort. Read on for more information.
Regularly Toss Old Foods
Each week, prior to you traveling to the market, take a quick peek inside your food pantry and your fridge. Toss everything that is past its expiry date, and also things that don’t look or smell fresh. If you’re unsure, toss it out! You might not like the idea of wasting money by tossing out your old food, but you will understand why this is important if you ever accidentally eat spoiled food. If you toss out old food regularly, then it will be a very fast job each week. You might even want to write the expiration dates on the top of the packages in marker when you buy them to make this process go even faster.
Put Away Unneeded Kitchen Items
Even if you have a lot of counter space it seems that there is never enough! If there is not nearly enough counter area in your kitchen, it’s time to put away all unneeded things. Put away things from cooking area counters that are not vital for day-to-day food preparation. Some of these items might be a blender or food processor, hand or stand mixer, juicer, and so on.
This will certainly make the area look even tidier and also larger. Simply putting away these items in a cabinet or in the pantry will provide you with additional space to prepare everyday dishes. I actually just did this yesterday, and even my 10-year-old son commented on how the kitchen looked bigger.
Just 5 Minutes a Day
If you are feeling stressed at the idea of decluttering your cooking area, adhere to one basic guideline, tidy the kitchen for 5 minutes per day. You can simply set your kitchen timer for 5 minutes and see how much you can get done during this time. Some things you should do during this time include clearing up counter tops, disposing of leftovers, and wiping down surfaces will permit you to maintain your cooking area and keep it looking nice. Many times I find that I will continue cleaning beyond the 5-minute timer, but 5 minutes is all that I require of myself.
Recycle Papers Immediately
SInce the kitchen is a common meeting place in the home, cooking areas frequently come to be littered with many things. Lots of these things, such as junk mail and store flyers can be recycled right away. The same goes for flyers from your children’s school, old work papers, and expired coupons. If you are able to recycle all of these papers immediately, you will find yourself with much less cluttered kitchen counters.
