When you see your Debbie Downer, give her (or him!) a compliment. Tell them that their hair looks good today, that you like their outfit, or that they are just the person that you wanted to see. There’s nothing like a little compliment to make someone’s day a little brighter.
Having a positive attitude is a choice, and having a negative attitude is as well. Why waste the energy on having a negative attitude when you can use the same effort to have a positive outlook instead? Think of the things that make you happy and strive to have a good day.
