Additionally, if you are organizing a larger room that can’t be done in 1-2 hours, simply split the room into 2 days.

Enlist Help From Family

Next, there’s no reason for your family members to just sit around while you are organizing. If your spouse and kids are not helping, they just might not know how to help you. Demystify the situation by telling them exactly what they can do to help you. Honestly, in some situations, the most helpful thing is getting everyone else out of the house. This isn’t easy nowadays with the social distancing protocols. However, if it’s a nice day out perhaps they could go out to play in the yard, take a walk, or even just a drive in the car to get some fresh air. Also, there’s no reason why elementary-age children and older can’t help, too. As a matter of fact, my best organizing helper is 8-years-old!
