DealDash has some awesome cleaning ideas. Read on to learn some fun cleaning hacks.
Cleaning is boring and no fun, right? Wrong! When you read about new cleaning hacks online or in magazines, aren’t you excited to try them out? I know I am! Here are some cleaning hacks from DealDash that I have personally tried for myself and have had success.
Garbage disposal – Is your garbage disposal a little stinky? Or do you keep your garbage disposal sparkling clean with those expensive packs of round mystery chemicals from the store? Well, you don’t have to use expensive chemicals or have a stinky garbage disposal! Just take a lemon, cut it into quarters, and toss half into the disposal with some ice. Grind it up, and repeat with the other lemon half and more ice. Smell that lemony freshness?
Crusty pans – After cooking a delicious steak in the pan do you immediately scrub it? Probably not. By the time that you have eaten your delicious steak and come back to your pan, it’s a crusty mess. You can help prevent that crusty mess by putting hot water and a dryer sheet (yes, really!) into the pan and leaving it on the warm burner. When you come back to wash out the pan later on the crust will slide right off. Make sure that you wash it really well wish dish soap after, though, of course.
Speaking of dryer sheets, don’t throw away the ones that you have used in your dryer quite yet. They can still be useful in these ways:
- Buff water spots from mirrors, bathroom/kitchen fixtures and shower doors
- Remove the ring inside the toilet (don’t flush the dryer sheet, though)
- Wipe baseboards clean
Dirty blender – The blender is easy to clean with this easy trick. Fill the blender 3/4 of the way full with warm water and a 1 small drop of dish soap. Turn it on and let it go for a for a few seconds. After, rinse it out with warm water, and voila, it’s clean!
Stinky couch – The couch is a little tricky to clean if you don’t have cushions with removable covers. To get the stink out, sprinkle baking soda on the cloth surfaces. If you have an old soft hairbrush, you can brush it in, and then let it sit for half an hour. After that, you can vacuum up the baking soda. It will eliminate most of the odors. If there are any lingering odors, lightly spray it with a solution of 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 water solution and let it dry.
