NEVER Leave Your Pet Alone in the Car

Never ever leave your pet in a hot car. Heat stroke and even death can occur. If you must travel with your pet during warm weather make sure to keep the vehicle cool. Also, do not go anywhere where you cannot take your dog with you. This way they will remain happy and safe. Even if you think that you are only going to take 5 minutes in the store, anything could hold you up making you take more time.

Extra Water

Give your pets cool and clean water frequently throughout the day. Dogs, for example, can only sweat through the pads on their feet and through panting so you want to do all that you can to keep them hydrated and cool. A neat trick to keep them cool when they are outside is to freeze a toy in water and give it to them to play with.

Pet Sitter

If you are going on vacation you need to make sure your dog or cat is well taken care of while you are away. You need to make so to have someone come and check on them or take them somewhere where they can be taken care of so you do not have to worry about their safety.

Health Tips

When it comes to dogs really make sure that their vaccinations are as up to date as possible. This is important as they will be more likely to come into contact with more animals during trips to the park or the beach for example. This way you do not have to worry about their safety should something happen.
