DealDash Uses Fragrance Oils at Home

DealDash

Fragrance oils can help keep your house smelling delightful. Here are some tips and tricks on how to use them, from DealDash.

Fragrance oils are, quite simply, oils with scent added. They are not the same as essential oils, which can have other useful benefits such as calming, stress relief, or energizing. However, some essential oils, such as lavender or lemon can be used as a fragrance oil as well. These yummy-smelling oils can be used in crafting, home scenting, perfumes and anytime you want to create a pleasant smelling environment. Read on for more details from DealDash.

Make a Scented Spray

This is one of the easiest ways to use fragrance oils. All you have to do is add a few drops of fragrance oils to a plastic spray bottle, then fill with water. Shake the bottle well to mix the oil into the water. You can then spray a few times into the air to spread the scent into any room. You can also spray this onto smelly carpets or furniture. Please be sure to test a hidden spot to make sure that it doesn’t stain.

Make Your Carpet Smell Great

If you’d like to make your very own carpet powder it’s easy! Just take a box of baking soda and mix in 5-10 drops of fragrance oil, depending on how strong you want the carpet powder to smell.  Mix in the oil, and set aside for 12-24 hours. After this time has passed, you can sprinkle this mixture onto your carpet. Shake sparingly across the carpet. Allow the mixture to sit in the carpet fibers for 30-60 minutes, then vacuum it up. Enjoy the fresh scent of your house! As with the spray, please test it on a tiny hidden area of your carpet to make sure that it doesn’t stain.

Use in a Tart Warmer or Oil Diffuser

You can use fragrance oils in both tart warmers and oil diffusers. With the tart warmer, you can either add the fragrance oil directly to the wax that you’re melting or add a little water and then the oil. It’s your choice!

The oil diffuser is very simple and easy to use. With most oil diffusers you fill them up to the line with water and then add in however many drops of oil that you would like to use. Remember, these oils have a strong scent, don’t over-do it!
