Hard-boiled eggs are the perfect food for the on-the-go person who is looking to eat healthily. Whether you have time to make a meal or not, adding hard-boiled eggs to your list of options is a great idea. Read on for some “egg”cellent suggestions, from DealDash.

Making the Eggs

To start off, making hard-boiled eggs is surprisingly easy. First, place the eggs in a pot and cover them with water. The water should reach, roughly, an inch above the eggs. Increase the heat to bring the water to a boil, then let the water do the work. The real trick here is to figure out how long to cook them. A “hard-boiled” egg needs to be cooked for about 8 minutes. This leaves the yolk and the egg-white firm. If you’d like a bit of a runny yolk, you can cook the egg for as little as 4 minutes.

Now that you know how to boil an egg, we want to point out a few ways that you can take advantage of having these eggs on hand. The best way to take advantage of having hard-boiled eggs on hand is to simply cut them open and add a bit of salt or pepper for flavor.

Make Egg Salad for a Sandwich

If you’re looking for other options, you can make an easy egg salad by cutting the eggs up and adding mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Sometimes I like to add celery or onion to it as well. You can find a number of recipes online for egg salad that doesn’t use mayonnaise at all. I’ve found that using avocados in my egg salad eliminates the need for mayonnaise altogether. It also makes the salad extra creamy.

Salads are Better With Eggs

Hard-boiled eggs make a great addition to any salad. I like to cut them in half or quarters and place them on top. Using hard-boiled eggs is most common in a chef salad, but I like adding them to my Cobb salads too.

WIN or BIN Cooking Supplies from DealDash

Kitchen and Dining is one of my favorite DealDash categories. You will find things such as small appliances, cutlery, and decorative kitchen items. If you don’t win an auction for the kitchen item you wanted, don’t despair. DealDash has a handy “Buy It Now” option on each item. You can always BIN (Buy It Now), by paying BIN price for the item and you will receive all of your bids back that you spent on that item. So, if you bid on a kitchen item that you are planning on buying anyway, you are bidding with no risk to your wallet. When you BIN the item you want you will receive each and every bid back that you spent on that particular auction.
