DealDash – Simple Ways to Update Your Wardrobe
Spring is almost here, and it’s the perfect time to update your wardrobe. Here are some tips and ideas from DealDash to get you started.
Updating your wardrobe doesn’t have to be a huge expense. A few little additions here and there can go a long way. Now that you’re updating your wardrobe it’s also an excellent time to get rid of old clothing that you’re not wearing anymore as well. There’s nothing like a little Spring cleaning in your closet to freshen up your wardrobe. Here are some top tips and ideas from DealDash for updating your wardrobe.
Update Your Colors
According to Pantone, the color of 2017 is called “Greenery.” This color is a fresh and crisp color that reminds me of fresh green veggies and Springtime. If you need a little pop of color in your wardrobe, be sure to try Greenery. Here’s what Pantone has to say about their color of the year:
A refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings. Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate. – Pantone
Try using greenery in your wardrobe to give it a fresh update. Try a new scarf, belt, or piece of fashion jewelry to liven things up. You never know, you might like the color so much that you’ll want to get a new purse to match!
Have a Clothing Swap With Friends
If you have a few friends of a similar size, why not invite them over for a clothing swap? Get out a bottle of wine, spread out all of the offerings, and make outfits for each other. It’s free, fun, and you’ll get that much-needed wardrobe update while having a nice time with friends. Your old clothing can get fresh use while giving you a few new to you pieces from your friends. Try it, it’s fun!
5 Things Out, 1 Thing In
Since you’re going through your closet anyway, it’s time to donate old clothing to the thrift store. Reward yourself with a new clothing item or accessory for every 5 things that you can find in your closet to donate. You’ll make some extra room in your closet and feel good about making a donation to the less fortunate.
