Unless you are living with your parents or have a daily maid, then you are probably doing at least a little housework. Here are some more cleaning tips and ideas from DealDash.

Cleaning is usually not at the top of the list when people think about “fun activities.” However, if you are able to streamline your cleaning routine by using some of these tips and tricks from DealDash at least you will get things done faster. And when you get the cleaning done faster it means that there is more time left over to do fun activities instead. Here are more tips from DealDash to get things sparkling clean with less effort.

Cleaning the Dishwasher

Cleaning your dishwasher doesn’t require any harsh cleaning solutions or even any scrubbing. Don’t waste your money on those expensive dishwasher cleaners, either. Simply add 1 cup of baking soda to the bottom of your empty dishwasher and let it sit overnight. Run the hottest possible cycle using vinegar instead of detergent to clean and deodorize your dishwasher. Do this monthly for a delightfully clean dishwasher.

Metal Faucets

Do you scrub your metal faucets and wonder why they still have hard water stains on them? Or perhaps you’ve learned to ignore the spots on your faucets? Either way, get them clean in the time it takes to chop a lemon. Cut a lemon in half, and run it along the faucets where the stains are. They will disappear like magic.

Be Proactive

While you’re waiting for dinner to come out of the oven, why not start loading the dishwasher with any items that you might have used while cooking? You can also use this time to handwash anything that needs to be done such as pans or wooden cutting boards.

Another way that you can be proactive in keeping your house clean is by taking your shoes off at the door. Think of all of the horrible things that you might be stepping in outside, not to mention any snow and ice that you might be tracking indoors this winter. Keep your floors clean with zero effort by leaving those shoes by the door.
