DealDash

Winter is coming! Here are some fun activities for your kids to do inside, from DealDash.

With the weather getting cooler parents are no doubt trying to think of activities for their kids to do indoors. It’s important to keep the kids entertained. Here are a few fun activities that you can do with your kids the next time that it is too cold to be outside, from DealDash.

Make a Treasure Hunt

You can plan a treasure hunt for your kids to do indoors. It doesn’t need to be anything too complex, just a few clues for them to guess the different locations in the house that they need to find. Once they complete the treasure hunt they can get their prize.

When thinking about a prize, you can make the prize another fun activity for them to do, such as baking cookies together. Another fun activity that could be the prize is ingredients to make slime.

Let’s Finger Paint!

Finger painting is a great choice for little kids that need something to do indoors. You can set up an area in the kitchen for them to create their masterpieces to minimize the mess and just let them get creative. There are all kinds of paints that you can purchase for finger painting or you can even make your own for another fun project. The two main traits that you want your finger paint to possess are being non-toxic and washable.

For Older Kids, Try Puzzles & Board Games

Puzzles and board games are another fun option on colder days when you can’t go play outside. There are all kinds of puzzles and board games for all ages so you are sure to be able to find something that your kids will enjoy playing. It is a great pastime to do together as a family. Some of the favorites at my house include Trouble and matching games.

Get Creative With Picture Collages

Making picture collages is a fun way for you kids to express their creativity. You can make collages from pictures that you have taken or you can take pictures out of magazines and news papers for your kids to get creative with for their collage. One of my favorite ways to get pictures for my kid’s collages is by using my Fuji Instax 8. It takes instant pictures just like an old-fashioned Polaroid camera, except they are much smaller.
