Here are several crafts that you can do with some inexpensive crafting materials and items that you can get right outside your door. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Twig Words

You can make letters with twigs that you collect outside. Easily attach the twigs together with hot glue and then decorate them with things like ribbons. You can make your child’s name or make the name of someone that you would like to make a fun gift for. The possibilities are really endless here so let your imagination go wild. You can incorporate these twig words into a picture frame as well. You could try spelling out “Family”, “Sisters”, “Best Friends” or whatever your child wants. Then stick a picture in and it will make a lovely display for your house.

Make a Birdhouse

You can also create a bird feeder or a birdhouse with things that you find in the outdoors. There are a lot of materials like bark and twigs that can be used to make a really cool and functional home or feeder for birds. You can not only get the enjoyment of creating something with your kids but also get the enjoyment of watching the birds enjoy your creation. Don’t forget to put birdseed into your birdhouse or feeder. The birds will be much more likely to come visit you if you remember to do this step.

Paint Pet Rocks

Making pet rocks is another very simple and fun nature craft that you can do with your kids. You can again let your imagination take over as there are many cool animals or even monsters that you can create with different shaped rocks. All you need is some paint and paint brushes and some different shaped rocks and you are all set to craft. Don’t forget to wash and dry the rocks before you paint them. Otherwise, the paint won’t stick due to dirt and dust on the rocks.
