DealDash Kids: What to Pack for a Trip
Taking a trip with kids requires some special attention to packing. Here are some tips and tricks from DealDash to get you going!
Going on trips can be a lot of fun, but it can sometimes be hard to keep your kids occupied on the trip. It is the summertime and people are going to various places. You may be going on a trip with your kids this summer, and you may be wondering what should you bring. It is easy to forget the important things when it comes to going on a trip, so it is good to write down what you need. Here are some essentials that you need to pack for a trip with kids, from DealDash.
Clothes
You must pack clothes for your kids, of course! Sometimes it is good to go shopping for new clothes when you are planning to go on a trip. Make sure that you pack clothes that are cool so that you won’t get hot. Don’t get anything too fancy or easy to ruin. Colorful clothes are your best bet when you are packing for a trip because white clothes can easily become dirty. Packing clothes for your kids is very important when it comes to going on a trip.
Activities and Fun
No matter if you are going on a road trip or a plane you need things for your kids to do in general. It is best to pack their favorite toys, movies, and games so they can be occupied on the trip. When you have your kids occupied with activities the trip will go much smoother.
It’s also a good idea to buy a few new inexpensive things for your kids to do on your trip. Some suggestions are coloring and activity books, magazines, a magnetic drawing board, and a few blind bags if your kids enjoy those.
If you aren’t familiar with blind bags, they are small plastic bags that have an unknown toy or toys in them. Usually, there is a theme, such as you know you will be getting an animal toy, car toy, small doll, etc. They are really fun, inexpensive, and are fun since they don’t know what they are getting.
Toiletries
Packing toiletries for your kids are important. Make sure that they have plenty of deodorants, toothpaste, body wash, and of course diapers if you have a toddler or infant. Even if you don’t have a small child baby wipes are still a good item to pack. You can use them to wipe up spills and messes, wipe off hands, clean things that fall on a dirty floor, and many other uses. I always keep some with me.
You should keep a separate bag for each kid, so you won’t get their toiletries mixed up. Remember to pack travel size products so that you can have room in your kid’s luggage. A fun idea might be to take the kids to the store and let them pick out their own small bag for toiletries. A makeup bag, or pencil case, or school supply bag can be a great thing to store toiletries in, and typically have fun cartoons or patterns on them.
