DealDash’s Winter Snow Removal Tips

DealDash

Burrrr! If you’re in the Northeast you experienced some snow last week. Here are some snow removal tips from DealDash.

Winter is coming. For some parts of the country, it has already arrived. We want to offer you a few key tips that will make your snow removal a little easier this year. Read on for some helpful tips and information from DealDash.

Don’t “Put It Off” Til Later

More important than any other tip – do not let the snow build up before shoveling. I was once told that anyone who says that you should wait to shovel until the end of the storm has, clearly, never had to shovel 12 inches of snow. You’ll save yourself a lot of backache and annoyance if you go out every hour or so. This is especially true if you live somewhere that often gets 6+ inches at a time.

Always have the right equipment (From DealDash)

If you’ve ever tried to shovel snow with anything other than a true snow shovel, you’ll know what we mean. Get a quality pushing snow shovel. Ensure that you have snowmelt and salt at the ready. When considering salt, I prefer to purchase the pet-friendly option. It is made to be safe soft paws, but it’s also much easier on the sidewalk. If you have a dog that you have to walk outside in the snow they will appreciate your consideration for their little feet.

DealDash often has snow removal and winter equipment up for bid. Personally I have gotten a very large snow pushing-type shovel from DealDash that has made my snow removal a lot faster and also easier on my back. Click this link for shovels and handheld snow throwers. You can also find regular snow shovels, gloves, scarves, and even boots. No matter what you need for the winter, DealDash has you covered. Be Prepared

It’s not enough to have the right equipment. You need to be sure that equipment is ready to go. So don’t wait until the snow is here to check your snowblower. Make sure you have gas and oil. Test run the snowblower before the snow gets here. When you’re covered in snow, you’ll be happy that you did the troubleshooting with just leaves on the ground.

Thanks for Reading

Thanks so much for reading this DealDash article with snow removal tips. And remember, many hands make for light work. While you’re shoveling the snow, encourage the kids to come out and build a snowman. It may be one more thing to focus on, but a little help can go a long way. Let the kids have a snowball fight. Encourage building a snowman or even an igloo. By having them outside and playing, they’ll be moving a little bit of the snow out of your way and getting some fresh air and exercise at the same time.
