My kids love writing letters to Santa Claus. Our local community organization made it a point to respond to the letters that we sent them. There are also places online you can order a postcard from Santa, as well.
Wrap Christmas Presents
Wrapping presents might seem like a chore to an adult, but kids love to wrap presents. If you have more than one child you can ask if they would like to wrap the other’s present. Of course, only do this if your kids are old enough to keep a secret! If they are an only child or can’t keep a secret, ask if they would like to wrap Grandma/Grandpa/Aunt/Uncle/Cousin’s present. My daughter is 8 and loves to wrap her brother’s presents. She not only thinks it’s fun but also enjoys knowing a secret the boys don’t know!
Decorate With DealDash

The Pickle Game
We’ve also picked up the German tradition of “hiding the pickle”. You purchase a pickle shaped ornament and hide it on the Christmas tree. You give the “go” and the kids search the Christmas tree for the ornament. Whoever finds it first wins a prize. The following year, the person who won gets to hide the ornament for everyone else to find.
