DealDash Helps: Clean Stuffed Animals

DealDash

Kids love stuffed animals, sometimes a little bit too much. DealDash is here to help you clean your kid’s stuffed animals.

Little children love their stuffed animals so much, and many like to take them everywhere with them. This means that the stuffed animals can get very dirty and grungy. Some stuffed animals are easy to just toss in the washing machine, but others take a little more TLC to get clean. Luckily, DealDash is here to help you clean those stuffed animals and make them like new again. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Use the Washing Machine

If you can wash your stuffed animals in the washing machine it’s the easiest way. However, be sure to check the tag on them before you wash them to make sure they will hold up. If it’s an older stuffed animal that needs a little stitching here and there because the stuffing is coming out then I wouldn’t wash it in the machine. No matter what shape the stuffed animal is in, make sure that you stick it in a mesh washing bag to protect it even further. Use the gentle cycle, and hang up the animal to dry.

Wash It By Hand

If you have an older or more fragile stuffed animal, then you’re going to need to wash it by hand. Don’t worry, it won’t take too long, and it will be worth it to make your child happy and give them back their favorite stuffed animal fully intact.

Washing a stuffed animal by hand is simple! You can use a sink, small wash basin, or in the case of a larger stuffed animal, a bathtub. Fill the container up as far as you need to cover the animal with warm water. While the container is filling up, pour in some baby shampoo. If it’s gentle enough for your baby’s delicate skin, then it’s good enough for the baby’s stuffed animal.

Let the animal soak for a few minutes, gently rubbing the fur, especially in the dirty spots. After the animal is sufficiently clean, then drain the water and rinse off the animal with clean water. After that gently pat dry with a towel, then hang up to dry.

If You Can’t Wash the Animal

Some stuffed animals can’t be washed due to their age, condition, or material that they are made out of. In these cases, there are a few other options. You can spritz them with Febreeze, spray them down with Lysol, or even just put them out in the sunlight to kill the germs.
