There’s nothing like de-stressing and simplifying your life. Want to know where to start? By reading this DealDash article.

We all have so many things to do between work, kids, pets, and maintaining a household that at times it can be overwhelming. You are most likely a little stressed out almost all the time. Simplifying your life can help reduce your stress. Below you will find some pointers that can decrease your stress level, from DealDash.

In the Home

Do you have too many chores inside the home? If you have a partner and kids then you can divide the chores. You will be amazed at the progress even young children can make by putting away their own toys. Of course, you should make it as easy as possible for them. We have all of the toys in the playroom located in bins and drawers. It’s easy for my kids, even the 3-year-old, to put away the toys.

If you have a spouse to help, then you should divide up the chores by skill – for example, I am terrible at loading the dishwasher, so my husband does that. I am a more experienced cook, so I take care of the bulk of the cooking. Make a master list of weekly chores and “sign up” for them according to your skills. The remaining ones can be a group effort.

Meal Prep

Meal prep might seem like more work than daily cooking, but it will save you time in the end. 5. For individuals that prepare new and different dinners every day, you should reduce the number of times that you cook in a week.

You can prepare dinner for 2 days at a time with the same ingredients or cook different meals in one day for the upcoming week. If you want to make even larger amounts than you will eat in one week then it’s a good idea to freeze the prepared food. This will keep it nice and fresh and safe to eat.

Be Aware of Your Weekly Activities

A great way to reduce stress is to keep track of your time. Planning ahead for the upcoming week is an excellent idea. Once you know what you would like to do during the upcoming week then schedule in time for it. In addition to “extra” things each week be sure to have a day-to-day or weekly to-do list. There are few things more stressful than knowing that you have things that have to be done but you have no idea when you will be able to do them. Plan ahead and keep it simple.
