DealDash’s Spring Cleaning Series: Baby’s Bedroom

DealDash

Welcome back to DealDash’s newest series – Spring Cleaning! Today’s new article is all about cleaning the baby’s bedroom.

Depending on what part of the country you’re in, spring is either coming or it has already arrived. It doesn’t seem like winter ever showed its head, but it’s still time for spring cleaning. The next part of our series is addressing the baby’s room. Read on for some super suggestions from DealDash.

Look for Unused Pieces

It’s a room that is often forgotten, but with a baby constantly growing, it can get overcrowded pretty quickly. First, start by getting rid of anything that you obviously don’t need anymore. Is your baby in pull-ups now? Maybe you should get rid of that changing table. Don’t use that baby monitor anymore? Donate it! Never sit in the rocking chair? Relocate it, store it, or donate it.

They Grow so Quickly…

Next, start making piles of outgrown clothing. Your baby probably has plenty of clothes that are too small. Figure out what you can donate or sell, what needs to be thrown away, and what you could repurpose into rags to use for cleaning.

Too Many Outgrown Toys

After clothes, you can start focusing on the toys that you’ve got. If there’s something that you’re baby never plays with, it’s okay to donate or pass to a friend’s baby. We understand that someone put time, effort, and thought into that toy, but if it’s just taking up space and collecting dust, why not donate it so that another child can actually enjoy it?

Maybe you’ve got some toys that are still a little too advanced for your child. Again, there’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s probably safe to put those toys away in a closet or even in the attic for a bit. You can pull them back out when you’re ready.

Focus on Organization

Finally, focus on trying to get organized again. There is probably a lot going on and things in the baby’s room may have gotten a little chaotic. Take a few minutes to figure out what’s working and what isn’t. Shelves may be great. I typically prefer using drawers or boxes. It lets me toss things in the right place without taking as much time to make sure it looks perfect.
