DealDash Wants You to Have Budget Fun
The summer is well underway but there is still time to have fun before school starts again and you and your kids are locked into a schedule. Here are a few free or low-cost ways to have fun.
Obviously, my favorite way to have fun is to play on DealDash, my best way to entertain myself no matter what the season. However, the kids prefer to get outside in the warmth and the sunshine, so I guess I will just have to use my DealDash app on my phone to bid on the go!
One of my kid’s favorite ways to have fun and stay cool this summer is going to the sprinkler park. If you have kids that are in the pre-school to elementary school age you should check and see if there is a sprinkler park near you. If you just Google “Sprinkler park near me” it will show you all of the locations that are within 15 miles or so. There are 9 of them within 12 miles of me, so I bet there are some near you, too!
Speaking of elementary school kids, if you check your local town’s website or your local library website you will be able to find all of the low-cost summer activities that your town offers this summer. There are things for all ages, but the majority of them are for kids ages 6-12. For example, I signed my son up for “drop-in” camp that’s hosted by the town for $145 for the entire summer! It’s Monday through Friday for 3 hours per day. That’s an amazing deal, less than a dollar per hour if I drop him off every day for the entire 3 hours. Not only is it cheap, he has an awesome time! There are other cheap activities that are offered by the town such as Lego days, dance classes, and field trips to roller skating rinks and trampoline parks. Check out your town’s website and see what they have to offer!
Another really fun thing that happens in the summer is that most towns have – festivals! Around here there are strawberry festivals, school festivals, blueberry festivals, Italian festivals, Greek festivals and more. They are all free to attend, and have food, games, prizes, and entertainment. All of the extras you have to pay for, of course, but they are usually minimally priced. Just Google “festival near me” and Google will tell you what’s happening near you!
If you’re in need of any other summer fun activities be sure to check out DealDash’s Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors, and Games category. There are lots of ways to have fun, and DealDash has some great examples! Go out and enjoy that weather, remember to bring your DealDash app with you. Good luck and happy bidding!
