DealDash Tips to Enjoy Halloween in 2020
Halloween is coming up soon, and sadly it’s going to look a lot different this year. Don’t worry, your family can still enjoy Halloween in 2020 with these suggestions from DealDash.
Being able to enjoy Halloween this year is going to take a bit more effort and thinking ahead than in previous years. In my town, they aren’t even deciding until October 15th if socially distanced trick or treating is allowed. That is why this year, prep work will be crucial to help your family enjoy Halloween. Here are some suggestions to help your family have a great Halloween in 2020.
Enjoy Halloween at Home Making Treats (DealDash Can Help)
To start, while costumes are fun, most kids are really in it for the sweets! If you are able to plan ahead, you can spend your evening with your family enjoying Halloween by making sweets! You can go the easy route and get some Halloween-themed slice and bake cookies, or you can make cookies from scratch and decorate them. You can also bake a cake and decorate it in a spooky way. If your kids are a little older and up for a challenge, you can try your hand at making candy or fudge. Nothing says that you can’t all wear costumes while you cook! If you are looking for some fun Halloween recipes, be sure to visit the Food Network to see their Top 50 Halloween Recipes.
You will need a variety of kitchen tools to make cookies, cake, candy, or fudge. DealDash can help, you will find baking pans, toaster ovens, and more. If you plan on baking small batches of treats, there’s no need to heat up the big oven. Simply bake with a toaster oven from DealDash.
Carve Pumpkins in a Crafty Way
Also, no matter what is going on in the world, carving pumpkins is one of the best ways to enjoy Halloween. However, you don’t have to simply draw a face with a marker and cut it out within a few minutes. This year, if you aren’t going out, you will have plenty of extra time to carve your pumpkins in a more artful and time-consuming way.
My favorite way to carve a pumpkin is to print out a line drawing from the internet, tape it onto the pumpkin, and use a poking tool to poke the design into the pumpkin. Next, I take a scraping tool and scrape off the orange part of the pumpkin along the dotted lines. I only scrape off the top layer, I leave the white inside intact. After you have finished scraping your design, put a light inside, and your design will shine through the parts you scraped out. It’s so easy to do, and the results are always impressive!
