DealDash Travel Tips for the Holidays

DealDashLots of fun family holidays are coming up soon. If you’re traveling for the holiday you will want to read this new DealDash article.

The holidays are always a very busy season for travel, both by air and by car. Thanksgiving is next week, and Christmas is just around the corner. Now is a great time to make your travel plans. Read this DealDash article and get some tips!

Driving or Flying This Season?

Firstly, you need to choose how you will get to your holiday celebration. Are you going to drive or fly? Be sure to plan ahead and do your research on routes, flights, and prices. Be sure to check different airlines to compare different costs for flights. If you’re driving you will want to see how long it takes, where you can stop for a break, and factor in the cost of gas.

DealDash Can Assist With Packing

For short trips, like a long weekend around the holidays, a carry-on bag is a great choice. If you need a fresh new carry-on bag you can obtain one from DealDash. DealDash has very nice high-quality luggage. They are much nicer than the ones at the local big box store. You can simply click this link right here and check out the luggage that DealDash offers up for auction.

If you’re a mom like me, then you probably end up packing for more than just yourself! I have 3 kids to pack for as well as myself, so I like to start early. Typically I try to do a load of laundry and pack as I am folding the clean clothes. I feel like it saves an extra step – then when we come home I unpack all of the dirty clothes directly back into the washing machine! Go ahead, treat yourself to some new luggage. Just click here.

Make a List

You will also want to make a list of things you have to do before you leave for your trip. Be sure to think of everything, because there’s nothing worse than being halfway to your destination and remember something that you either forgot to do or to pack. Here is an example of what my list usually looks like:

  • Fill automatic water and food bowls for the cats (if we are away for more than 2 days I get a pet sitter)
  • Make sure the litterbox has fresh litter
  • Turn the heat down to 65
  • Check to make sure all appliances are off/unplugged
  • Check all window and door locks
  • Bring medicine
