DealDash Helps: Organize Your Gift Wrapping

DealDash

Black Friday is almost here, and that means lots of wrapping! Wrapping gifts is fun, but it can be tricky to get organized. Don’t worry, DealDash can help.

Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, but the process of getting ready for the holidays can be pretty chaotic. Things go more smoothly when organized. Below is a quick summary of an organized way to keep your gift wrapping simple. Read on for more information from DealDash.

Storage Solutions

Preparation is half the battle. I use old wrapping paper tubes to hold my unused wrapping paper together. Using it as a cuff keeps the current roll from unraveling. I like to keep all of the name tags that I have in a small plastic container. It also helps to keep the bows and ribbon neatly put away in the same area. Typically, I have one large plastic bin that all of these go into. If the wrapping paper won’t fit, it goes on top of the lid. There are custom wrapping paper bins for sale at many big box stores. Try snagging one after the holiday for a great deal.

Beautiful Storage Options on DealDash

However, you don’t have to settle for clear plastic storage bins when you have DealDash! You will find lots of options in the Home, Garden, and Tools category. There is an excellent product that is sometimes offered that has wall storage comprised of small baskets. This would be an excellent place to store your tape, scissors, and tags as well as ribbon. There are also storage cubes and shelves on DealDash. Just click here to check out the auctions.

The Wrapping Process

When I’m getting started, I like to clear the space I’ll be using. Typically, I try to use a kitchen table because of the size of the flat surface area. I stack my gifts based on who they’re going to and when I will need the gift. Family gifts go first, followed by friends, then co-workers, and finally any Christmas Party or White Elephant gifts that I’ll need.

I take one stack and put it to my left. I write out a name tag for my first gift.  And then I wrap the present, put the name tag on it, then set it off to my right. As I wrap more gifts, I stack them up until I complete the full stack. Once I finish the family stack, I set them back in their designated area and move on to the next stack.

By writing the name tag out first, I’m making sure I can’t forget who the gift belongs to. By keeping stacks separate, I’m able to be sure I know where the gifts are going and I’m able to check off who I’ve finished my gifts for to be sure I’m not missing anything.
