DealDash Kids: Fun Places to Go When it’s Cold Out

DealDash

Depending on where you are, winter might be in full force. It even snowed a bit here over the weekend! Kids still need to play, here are a few ideas from DealDash to help.

As it gets colder out, it can be difficult to find fun activities for your children. While playing in the snow can be fun, it can quickly become too much for your youngsters. We wanted to offer some alternative ideas that can make a snow day perfect. Read on for some great suggestions from DealDash.

Indoor Exercise

If you’re looking to burn some energy, find a local bowling alley or skating rink to go to. Using the bumpers at the bowling alley will make it fun for the whole family. It will also give your child a sense of accomplishment knowing that he/she was able to knock the pins down consistently. Roller skating, on the other hand, can be difficult, but it offers the opportunity for a full-body exercise and is sure to burn a ton of energy.

Crafts are Always a Hit

If you’re looking for something a little calmer, consider taking a snow day to learn a new craft. Everyone knows that you can go to the local library to find books, but most people don’t realize that the library offers a ton of classes. You may also want to consider the local craft store. You may luck out and find that they’re offering classes on knitting, crocheting, etc.

Walk the Mall

Another low-impact exercise opportunity is going to the local mall. Ideally, you can window shop rather than buying toys, but the opportunity to walk inside is tough to beat. Most malls also have play areas where you can relax while your little one runs around.

Toys and Games From DealDash

You don’t always have to go somewhere, why not have fun in your own home? This can be easily accomplished with a little help from DealDash. Take a peek at the Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors, and Games category. Here you will find fun things like race cars and Lego sets, toys you can ride on (try in the basement!), and board games. These things are perfect for days when it’s just too yucky to go outside.

Finally, consider making someone else feel good while it’s cold outside. If your child is old enough, go to a local kennel or even a pet shop. See if you can volunteer to walk the animals or even pull them out to play with them. It’s a great stress reliever, and you’ll be able to offer some love to an animal that seems to be forgotten.

Thanks for reading, and remember to check DealDash for awesome indoor toys. Have a great day, and happy bidding, everyone!
